Wedding Ceremony & Reception | 2 July 2016 | Joanne & Aaron | Newcastle City Hall, Newcastle
It could not have been a more perfect Newcastle winters day for Joanne and Aaron's wedding - with not a cloud in the sky, their wedding day was abundant with endless love and sunshine! Whilst it is commonly accepted (and often expected), that the bride will arrive late to her ceremony, Joanne actually arrived early and wearing the biggest smile which appeared to make this already beautiful day, so much more vibrant.
Joanne and Aaron exchanged vows, professed their love for each other and committed to a lifetime as husband and wife at Sacred Heart Cathedral in the Newcastle suburb of Hamilton. The ceremony was followed by heartfelt congratulations and various group photographs before heading off for location shots around the sights of the city.
They chose the Concert Hall in the heritage listed Newcastle City Hall as the location for their reception. It is certainly one of the region's landmark buildings and with its fine architecture and heritage, it created a classic elegant background for their special day. The celebration commenced with a big welcome for the parents, wedding party and our bride and groom. This was followed by a lovely welcome by Joanne, beautiful speeches from the two dads and Joanne sharing a special moment dancing with her dad.
Guests were then served a delicious entrée before we heard from Joanne's sister and Maid of Honour, Kelly, followed by Aaron's brother and Best Man, Jason. Last, but not least, Aaron took to the microphone and proceeded to thank all those that had helped both Joanne and himself throughout their life and in helping make the day the success it was. He ended with a lovely and in typical Aaron style, humourous thanks to Joanne for agreeing to be his wife. All these speeches were enjoyed by the guests.
The main meal, dessert, cutting of the wedding cake, first dance as husband and wife and we were into party time!! Guests danced to a selection of music from throughout the decades and had an enjoyable evening. All too soon it was time for the bouquet toss, a farewell dance and Joanne and Aaron exited through a guard of honour, which had some random sparklers at the end of it, to their waiting Pedicab Rickshaw getaway!!
Joanne and Aaron, it was a great honour, privilege and pleasure to be a part of your wonderful wedding day as your Newcastle Wedding DJ and Wedding MC. Over the last eight and a half years your love has grown and I know that your love will continue to grow as you build your future together. There will be challenges that you will need to face, but with each other by your sides, you can overcome any obstacle. Wishing you both all the happiness in world. May love, laughter and music fill your lives forever!!
