Their journey together began in 2016 during the Touch Football University Games in Coffs Harbour, an unexpected and fortuitous encounter that would set the stage for their enduring love. Fast forward to 2023, and we gathered at Deckhouse in Woolwich to witness the culmination of this beautiful love story.

Surrounded by their fun-loving family and friends, Sarah and James embarked on a new chapter of their lives, and their wedding day was nothing short of spectacular. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and countless memorable moments that will be cherished for a lifetime.

Their first date, back in 2017, was a simple yet slightly nerve-wracking time at the movies at the Broadway Cinemas. Those initial jitters gave way to the deep connection and love that would become the foundation of their relationship. As high school teachers deeply involved in sports coaching, their shared passions and commitment to their students reflect their generous and caring natures.

Sarah, who is more of an in-doors person, and James, the more outdoorsy adventurer, have found the perfect balance in each other. Their differences complement one another, creating a dynamic and loving partnership that is truly inspiring.

On the 5th of September, 2022, James surprised Sarah with a heart-warming proposal on Father's Day. This was the beginning of a new and exciting chapter in their lives, filled with dreams of purchasing a house, starting a family, and traveling the world together.

One of their key wedding aspirations was to ensure that their special day was brimming with dancing, fun, and joy. And that's exactly what they achieved! The dance floor came to life immediately after the wedding party's grand entrance and continued to pulse with energy throughout the evening. Their wedding was a testament to their shared love of fun and celebration.

ABIA Wedding Industry Awards 10 October 2023

I hope this post finds you well and filled with happiness. It is a privilege to reach out to you today and express my heartfelt gratitude. Your unwavering support has meant the world to me, and can't thank you enough for being a part of this incredible journey.

In the recent 2023 NSW ABIA Wedding Awards, DJ:Plus! Entertainment had the honour of being a finalist in both of the core categories in which services are provided: Master of Ceremonies (MC) and Disc Jockey (DJ) at this prestigious event, and it's all thanks to the wonderful couples who have trusted me with their special day. The recognition and success achieved in these awards are a testament to the love and trust that you, my couples, have placed in me.

However, there's a unique challenge that DJ:Plus! Entertainment faces in these awards, one that potentially makes it increasingly difficult to qualify. The introduction of a volume criteria a few years ago, has made qualifying a real test of mettle. It's not just about the quality of the service, which I always strive to keep at the highest standard, but also about the number of events I undertake. This is where it becomes tough for a sole operator like DJ:Plus! Entertainment who takes on no more than 20 weddings per year.

The commitment to providing personalised, one-of-a-kind experiences for each wedding has always been at the forefront of my service. I value quality over quantity, and it's a belief I hold very dear. As a result, meeting the volume criteria can be a limiting factor in qualifying. But that's not something I will ever compromise on, because I firmly believe that your special day deserves nothing less.

So, while DJ:Plus! Entertainment may not have secured the award and is unlikely to secure it in the future due to the volume criteria, please know that your support, trust, and the wonderful moments I've shared with you, mean far more than any accolade and I am thrilled to have been a finalist and ranked amongst the best in the State. It's your happiness and satisfaction that keep me going, and that's what truly counts in the end.

I want to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you to every couple who has chosen DJ:Plus! Entertainment to be a part of their wedding day. You've made the journey memorable and meaningful, and I look forward to continue creating beautiful memories with future couples.
