'S' did not like 'T' much when they first met. But they became friends and that friendship grew into love. Here we now were on an absolutely beautiful February day, at one of my favourite locations, Tumbling Waters Retreat, to witness and celebrate the beginning of S and T's "happy ever after".

The ceremony, officiated by T's father, was held on the lawns overlooking the waters of the Pacific Ocean and the clear blue skies in the horizon. A special song entitled "Loving You", written especially for S & T's wedding by groomsman Stephen, was performed during the signing of the Register, adding a lovely touch to this special moment. (A recording of this performance is available below).

Whilst S & T had photographs around the property and off site, the guests enjoyed refreshments, canapes and the amazing view. Shortly afterwards the reception commenced. The wedding party and our ever so happy couple were greeted with great applause. A delicious meal, interspersed with some lovely heartfelt speeches from S's dad, T's mum and dad, S's sister, friends B & F and last but not least, T. The wedding cake was cut and it was time for S & T's fist dance as a married couple. Part way through they were joined by the members of the wedding party and the parents, followed by the remainder of the guests. Dancing followed before it was time for the bouquet toss - it went straight up and ricocheted off the chandelier. This was followed by a special moment for S and her dad during the father/daughter dance. Back to dancing and before we knew it it was time for the farewell dance and S and T left to begin their new life together.

S and T's wedding was very special. You could see how happy they were to be married. Whenever you were in their presence, you could feel the love between them. It was the bringing together of two cultures, but more so, it was two beautiful individuals whose love is greater than that in any fairy tale. Thank you for inviting me to be a part of your amazing day. S and T enjoy your "happy ever after". May love, laughter and music fill your lives forever.

"Loving You" is a song especially written for S & T by groomsman Stephen. The song was performed during the Signing of the Register.

This cover is just so angelic and beautiful. "Sea of Love" (written by John Phillip Baptiste and George Khoury), has been covered many times. The Cat Power version was originally recorded in 2000 for their album, "The Covers Record" but became very popular once it appeared in the Juno movie in 2007.

Such a simple, beautiful, heart melting version. Perfect for a First Dance.

Wedding Song Remake - Unchained Melody by Cyndi Lauper

Unchained Melody is arguably one of the most popular songs in history. Unchained Melody was written in 1955 by Hy Zaret and put to music created by Alex North. Unchained Melody has become among the most recorded songs written in the 20th century and it is believed that there are approximately 500 different versions of this song to date. Interestingly, the song does not actually include the word "unchained".

In 1965, The Righteous Brothers recorded a version of the song which resulted in it climbing as high as the number four spot in the music charts. When Jerry Zucker was filming the movie, Ghost, in 1990, he used this version for the hot and heavy lovemaking scene between the movie's two co-stars, Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore. The huge success of the movie, catapulted this popular version to the number one spot and made it very popular for use at weddings.

In 2003, Cyndi Lauper recorded an album consisting of cover versions of jazz standards which included Unchained Melody. Cyndi Lauper interprets the melody and dynamics in such a way that make this version really shine. This is a great music choice for a Bride & Groom’s First Dance.

Wedding Song Remake - Only You by Train

"Only You (And You Alone)" (usually shortened to and commonly known as "Only You") is a pop song composed by Buck Ram. It was recorded most successfully by The Platters, Train covered the song in 2010 putting their own spin on the song by using a little of the instrumentation from “Hey Soul Sister” at the beginning, resulting in a more upbeat version of the song.

Train’s version, like The Platters original, would be great for a First Dance. It would also be suitable to be played as the Wedding Guests Arrive, during Pre-Dinner Drinks or during Dinner.

Extremely proud to have been a finalist once again in these prestigious awards, not only in the Disc Jockey category but also in the Master Of Ceremonies category and for the first time, Ceremony Music category. This confirms DJ:Plus! Wedding Song Remake - What A Wonderful World by Katie Melua & Eva Cassidy (Duet)

“What a Wonderful World” is a song that was first recorded by Louis Armstrong and released as a single in 1967. In December 2007, Katie Melua released a cover of this song, in which she sang with a recording of the late Eva Cassidy and is a great alternative to the Louis Armstrong version.

It would be perfect for the wedding reception pre-dinner dinks, background during dinner, Father/ Daughter or Mother/Son Dances.

Wedding Reception | 1 December 2011 | Alana and Peter | Bathers' Pavilion, Balmoral Beach, Mosman, Sydney

When I first met Alana and Peter they shared how Peter had proposed during the 2010 New Year's Eve midnight fireworks. How the ring did not fit. Alana's surprise at the proposal, how she could not stop saying "oh my god, oh, my god" and how she still had not actually said yes yet. Fast forward to 1 December 2011 and whilst Alana has still not said yes, she certainly did say "I do". Alana and Peter celebrated their wedding at Bathers' Pavilion on Balmoral Beach, on what turned out to be a fantastic summers day, in a lovely relaxed, no-fuss kind of way, with 49 close family and friends, which was perfectly them!

Alana and Peter have a super fun family and friends who know how to boogie and how to really have fun. Thank you so much for inviting me to play a role in your wedding day - it was an absolute pleasure. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness and may love, laughter and music fill your lives forever.
