Wedding Reception | 27 July 2013 | Vicky and Risto | Centennial Vineyards, Bowral, Southern Highlands
Even though Vicky and Risto worked together, it was not until Vicky's last day before starting a new job, which happened to coincide with staff drinks that she and Risto got talking, sparks started flying and they shared their first kiss. They had dinner together a few days later and thus was the beginning of this beautiful love story. Just over a year later, on a beach in Wineglass Bay, Tasmania, Risto proposed to Vicky. Amongst the tears and laughter, Vicky managed to say "Yes" and here we were celebrating their wedding day.
On what was one of the most a perfect sunny winter's day, Vicki & Risto exchanged vows in St Simon and St Jude Anglican Church and celebrated their wedding at Centennial Restaurant, Centennial Vineyards, both located in Bowral, Southern Highlands. As the sun was setting, guests (some that had made the trip from the UK, Canada and Singapore) gathered in the Courtyard area in front of the outdoor fireplace, for canapés and drinks whilst Vicky & Risto had photographs taken around the vineyard.
As the winter chilled started to fill the air, guests made their way into the restaurant before Vicky, Risto and their wedding party were welcomed by great applause. A lovely speech from Vicky as she thanked her Mum, her brother, sisters, paid tribute to her Dad and then spoke to Risto's family in Macedonian, which received rapturous applause, before ending with some special words for Risto. This was followed by her brother William.
The Centennial Restaurant staff then served the guests a delicious entrée, followed shortly later by a delectable main, which was enjoyed by all. It then gave me great pleasure to be able to share numerous "audiograms" from the UK, US and Hong Kong, all conveying their best wishes and sending a little "International Love" Vicky and Risto's way from those that were unable to be in attendance.
It was then time for the remainder of the speeches commencing with Risto's Dad, Zivko, followed by Godfather, Igor, Best Man, Mike and last but not least, Risto. Risto thanked his parents, Vicky's Mum, Edie, all the guests who had travelled to be there and finished by letting his new wife know just exactly how much she meant to him and that he was really looking forward to 2063 (when they would be celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary).
Next came the cutting of the wedding cake, a scrumptious dessert and it was time for Vicky & Risto's first dance as husband and wife. They were joined part way through by the members of the wedding party before the guests then made their way onto the dance floor and the party began. Alternating with live traditional Macedonian music guests danced the night away whilst also availing themselves to the Lolly Buffet and entertaining themselves with the Photobooth. A final farewell dance and it was time for Vicky & Risto to depart. Loved how as they emerged from the tunnel of love and were about to go through the door, Vicky turned around and she and Risto spontaneously kissed - I was so thrilled to capture this fantastic moment and in essence, sealing the wedding with a loving kiss - just so beautiful!!
Vicky and Risto are a beautiful couple who share a deep love for each other, they are best friends and complement each other perfectly. You could feel the love and need only look at some of the photographs to see this. I loved seeing how both their faces light up when you are in each others presence, adored the way they openly display their love and sneak in a kiss at every opportunity. Vicky and Risto you deserve all the happiness in the world. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of the very first few hours of your happy ever after - this was certainly a great day, but remember that everyday you are together, is the greatest day of your life. May love, laughter and music continue to fill your lives forever!!!
